Motion Paintings of Athletes
Creative Process:
All of my paintings start with an acrylic under-painting which is the base for oil pastels. I smear the pastels to create the illusion of movement and speed. When I'm painting areas of detail, I use various clay shapers to sculpt and mix colors on the canvas. After the work is done, a coating is applied to allow for safer handling of the piece.
